🔹Gujarat State Tribal Development Residential Educational Institutions Society (GSTDREIS) or EMRS Society came into existence on 3rd January’ 2000 as an autonomous society by Tribal Development Department, Government of Gujarat for establishing, maintaining, controlling and managing good quality schools for talented and meritorious ST students. 

🔹The society is currently running three types of schools called Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS), Low Literacy Girls’ Residential School (LLGRS) and Model Schools (MS) across the state. Presently altogether 79 schools are being managed by the society out of which 25 are EMRS, 42 are LLGRS and 12 are MS. About 6 more schools are under pipeline for this academic year.

🔹Gujarat Eklavya Model Residential School AdmissionThe Society intends to provide free and quality education to meritorious ST students and for the same it conducts entrance test every year for the selection of the meritorious students for taking admission in class VI. The students selected through the test are given admission in 25 EMRS and 12 Model schools running across 12 tribal districts of the State.Eklavya Model Residential School Admission 2018-19
