About CRPF : The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF; Hindi: केंद्रीय रिजर्व पुलिस बल) is the largest of India’s Central Armed Police Forces. It functions under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the Government of India. The CRPF’s primary role lies in assisting the State/Union Territories in police operations to maintain law and order and counter insurgency. It came into existence as the Crown Representative’s Police on 27 July 1939. After Indian Independence, it became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28 December 1949.Besides Law and Order and counter-insurgency duties, the role of CRPF in the General Elections, held repeatedly during the past few years, has been very significant and vital. This is especially true for the trouble-ridden states of Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar and in the North East. During the Parliamentary elections of September 1999, the CRPF played a major role in the security arrangements. Of late, CRPF contingents are also being deployed in UN missions.

▶▶Eligibility Criteria For MEGA Recruitment 2017

🔹For Sub-Inspector : Intermediate with 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Board/Institution or university or equivalent.
🔹For Assistant Sub-Inspector : Matric with English, General Science and Mathematics from a recognized board with three years diploma in Draughtsman Course (Civil/ Mechanical Engineering) from a Govt. recognized Polytechnic.
🔹For Constable : Matriculation / Xth class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board, or university recognized by the Central or State Govt and Candidates having certificate (Three months & above duration) under National skill qualification framework compliant anchored by National skill development Agency (NSDA) under Govt. of India or certificate of trade from recognized Industrial Training Institute.

▶Age Criteria: Age Limit : Minimum and maximum age limit is 18 to 30 years for SI, 18 to 25 years for ASI and 18 to 23 years for Constable as on 05.05.2017
Age Relaxation : 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

▶Pay Scale: The Department is to pay Good Amounts Of Salary as per their Norms.

▶Selection Methods: Selection will be made on Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test(PET) and Documentation, Written Examination, Skill Test (for CT/Pioneer only) and Medical Examination.

▶Application Fee : Candidates have to pay Rs.200/- for SI and Rs.100/- for all others posts through SBI Challan OR Net Banking OR Credit card /Debit Card. candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.
